Relaxation AND Frustration [Allie] Empty
PostSubject: Relaxation AND Frustration [Allie]   Relaxation AND Frustration [Allie] EmptyFri May 24, 2013 4:50 pm

Some people might think that the Arrancar are simply strong on their own, but it takes quite a bit of work. Dues himself was a lot more tone and physically stronger than most of the other Arrancar, but that is simply without the use of Reiatsu. He knew that the other Espada could most likely become equally as strong as he was by using Reiatsu, but he still worked on his body. He was simply bored of all the castle, as their wasn't much to do, so he decided to work out. He had his bone mask off at this time, the red eyes that adorned his skin clearly a part of him, and not simply his armor. He had been working out by simply going to the desert and slaughtering as many hollows as he could within a time limit he had given himself. He was actually using most of his strength with each blow too, so he could actually get a bit of a work out. Now, he was simply sitting in his private quarters, which was a very expensive looking room with a large bed. This was good, as Dues was seven feet tall, and needed something large enough so that his feet didn't hang over the bed. He shook his head a little bit at his own statement, thinking that if the bed was too small, he would probably just sleep on the floor, because he wasn't one to quibble over something so worthless. At that moment, he was simply leaning against a wall, relaxing. It wasn't this often that he simply got to relax with his own thoughts, and it was actually nice to get out of the desert winds and heat. This place seemed to be cooled by itself, which felt very good, always kept at a temperature that was perfect for Dues, cold.

It was indeed very cold in his room compared to others, and it seemed the room responded with it's hosts' reiatsu, which was something he had to compliment the Espada before him for making. The odd feeling Dues was getting was making him look at himself in contemplation. He loved the thrill of the battle, and had the scars to prove it. One in particular, was on his back, which was a large three sectioned scar, as if a giant beast had tried to slash Dues to ribbons, and this was actually the story. In his years wandering the wastes, Dues' ego had gotten him into a confrontation with a Vasto Lorde, unbeknownst to Dues, and he paid the price. He lived however, but that humbling experience taught him that there were much stronger entities that he, and there would always be someone or something that would outclass him. This didn't make him any less egotistical, but he knew now when to pick his battles and when to simply leave. This also of course made him spring into action and start devouring as many hollows as he could, growing ever stronger in his quest, and eventually led him here, where all of his strength could have meaning. Dues sighed, before getting up and lying on his bed. He would then stare at the ceiling, and he wasn't sure if he was trying to fall asleep, or simply thinking of something else to do. He was getting a bit hungry, and he could eat quite a bit, although usually he wouldn't eat with others, because he didn't take off his bone mask for just anyone.

Relaxation AND Frustration [Allie] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Relaxation AND Frustration [Allie]   Relaxation AND Frustration [Allie] EmptyFri May 24, 2013 11:31 pm

Is it everything you thought it would be...

It was just so outrageously annoying that she wanted to scream. Every few steps one of the overhanging lights behind her flickered out, and about 5 flickered to life after the already 6 or so lights in front of her. The lighting system has always been odd; Using some sort of ingenious system that sensed reiatsu and drew on the slightest of their power to turn them on for the duration of them being beneath them. Apparently, due to her aggravation, she was leaking like an ancient faucet without the need to conceal herself in her own castle. Her castle. A phrase that felt so foreign to her tongue like the language that met her in this place. It's odd syllables mixed badly with her fluid Latin and Greek languages of her childhood. It was more so a challenging fact that she found no one who knew the languages as she did. The others all seemed to have much vaguer memories of their beforelife, while many details and teachings stuck to her clean and clear. Maybe it was the trauma of their deaths, but what could be more traumatic then being torn apart by lions? Not to mention the circumstances of said situation. As if sensing her thoughts the lights directly overhead flickered dangerously, becoming agonizingly bright.

She remembered how the lights in the rooms had better systems for lighting, but couldn't bear to have to walk all the way back to her room now that she was a few halls over. Another mocking flicker of the lights, and she placed her hands over her bright green eyes and hissed through her sharp teeth. The woman's fingers brushed the cool softness of her skin, and the colder, rough texture of the bone scratches across her left cheek. As if some creature had tried to take her head in it's paws and failed, leaving ugly yet artistic scars in perfect curves. That was one way to think of them, at least. To her they were a reminder that everything changed that day she decided to become a warrior. Over a thousand years ago. Was it 2000 yet? No, but she was probably halfway there, at least. Empires fell, rose, and fell again. Countless people born, even more died. Cities, homes, stadiums, hospitals, stores, all of it. A few times she had pulled information on the outside world from newborn hollows and Vasto Lorde alike. Very few arrancar were alive in the time frame she wanted to know about. The now. So far only Qilin had fit the age zone at all, if not a few decades behind or so.

Suddenly, she felt so ancient. It wasn't far from the truth, but at least her body didn't age like the human one did. The roman style dress hugged every soft curve and caressed every pale exposure of flesh. The only difference was the cold press of the golden clasps holding it up, exposing most of the line of her neck to her wrists around it and allowing a dip in the center to reveal the upper porcelain curve of her breasts. If she were to live for an eternity, at least she lived it in near colorless, still beauty. A pale hand flicked to the sides, sending stray pieces of her snow white hair from her face before dropping them back to her sides. The seemingly endless line of unmarked doors was finally broken by a door marked with a simple black numeral. 5. The name of the owner slipped her mind, but she could clearly see the large man in the back of her head. It would do. The woman came close to the door, pressing both hands against it as she scratched lightly like an animal locked out it's house. A single index finger nail scraping just beside the door jam. It was a sort of warning that she intended to enter, a calling card of sorts moments before she lets herself in to the residence of the unlucky.

Moments passed before she finally reached down and twisted the handle, pushing her way inside and opening it simultaneously. To her luck, her bright eyes settled on the occupants laying across the bed. Sleeping? No, he wasn't sleeping. At least, not anymore. A slender foot, as she had gone barefoot as usual, slid back to push the door close as she slinked across the room. So unqueenlike it hurt, more like the queen's pampered cat. She was far from pampered, but it didn't bother her to allow misconceptions. They gave way to misjudgement, therefore weakness and underestimation. And eventually, being caught off guard and most likely destroyed by her or hers. That honey sweet purr left her lips as the name came quietly, "Dues." the slight pause as she crossed the distance and twisted so her behind planted firmly on the edge of the bed. If she had come in intent to start trouble, she would never have closed the door. "You seem a bit bored, hm? Care to chat?" In fact, she was the one so utterly bored. It had been that way for awhile; Roaming the stark white halls hoping to stumble on someone misbehaving. Her legs crossed, riding the already short dress higher on her thighs. A light, politely interested smile on her lips. From her memory he wasn't much of a talker, but she hoped that would change.

Relaxation AND Frustration [Allie] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Relaxation AND Frustration [Allie]   Relaxation AND Frustration [Allie] EmptySat May 25, 2013 12:00 am

Dues was contemplating falling asleep, intent on having a very unpleasant dream regarding his beforelife, and how he was publicly put on a rope to dangle in front of the audience of people who were so discontent with their own lives, that they had nothing better to do than to watch another life end. Humans made him sick, and he was ashamed that he had to come from such a dirty existence. It seemed like an existence without purpose, even though they were given the free will to choose their own existence. Instead, they chose to simply survive, much like the animals and insects of the world already. They simply scoffed at their gifts and eventually eroded away, only to give birth to future generations of organisms that systematically tried to destroy the world that was giving them life.

Soon, the presence of another would be sensed through the large castle, and Dues would wonder why they came towards this wing of the castle. Dues specifically chose this section as it was the least traveled, and he was still getting annoyed by someone, even if they were simply passing through, as he could sense their spiritual pressure. Whoever it was, they were giving off a unique aura, that made the hair on the back of Dues' neck stand on end, but not in any sort of fear or nervousness. Dues remembered this particular aura previously, and he scoffed at it. A hefty sigh escaped Dues as the aura stopped at his door. He simply sat there, not really wanting to aknowledge her existence, nor the slight scraping at the door she performed before entering the room. He wasn't going to put on a shirt, nor was he going to place his bone mask back on. He was simply being extremely stubborn, as if he was in denial of her existence at the moment.

His calm was shattered as she gently walked through his room, towards his bed, as if she was going to try and startle him or jump on him to try and attack him. Well, this would end very poorly for the woman, but instead, she found the edge of the large bed and took a seat. At this point, Dues was acting like a stubborn child, and simply hoping that if he kept perfectly still and didn't make a noise, she wouldn't notice him and go away, but this was simply wishful thinking, considering she could probably now sense his strong spiritual pressure. she was much like him in spiritual pressure, but she seemed to have less control over hers, or perhaps there was something wrong with her, because she was emanating with a lot more reiatsu that Dues previously remembered about her. She was the false leader of the Espada, however Amatsu had told Dues to at least respect her, even if he didn't listen to her or follow any orders. But still, the next words the woman said was the nail that would seal Dues' comfort coffin. He had no choice but to sit up, and shoot her a glance.

The glance was almost packed to the brim with killing intent, his foggy, glassy eyes letting her know that he was legally blind. Only Amatsu knew this, and since Dues didn't really know there was a difference between eyes that had lost their light and gone blind and those that were radiant and healthy, he didn't think it was a big deal. Still, usually he had his clothing and bone mask on, so this was definitely not a formal meeting. The tone that she spoke in also seemed sincere, as she was clearly not here to simply mess with Dues. So, Dues decided to humor her, for the time being, because he knew that if she didn't at least talk to her a bit, she would never leave. She was almost as stubborn and prideful as Dues was... almost.

"I guess I have no choice, since you're probably not going to leave me alone regardless. As for being bored, who wouldn't be? This place and the people in it are annoying. No offense." Dues definitely meant offense to that. He made it openly clear that he was completely indifferent towards his allies, with the scales slightly leaning towards them simply annoying him, but he didn't despise them as he previously thought he would. They were on the same team, and he would have to learn to work with them. He sighed, and then took off the killing glare, this time replacing his face with something a little more thoughtful.

"So, what is it you wish to speak about?"

This time, Dues was sitting up fully, and the height difference could be seen. He was very tall, but this was only if you believed that the average was shorter than Dues. In the world of hollows and Arrancar, it seemed that he was actually fairly short. But what the Espada lacked in physical bulk, they made up for in intelligence and raw power. Dues wondered how this woman would react to the much colder temperature of his room, she even had bare feet. She also had am slightly unfair advantage towards Dues in casual conversation, which he thought of as a battle of sorts as well, because as a knight, he was also chivalrous, treating women with slightly more respect than that of the same gender. This was most likely his beforelife personality leaking through, because he died defending his mother and sister, so he had a much better disposition towards women than he had towards men.

Relaxation AND Frustration [Allie] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Relaxation AND Frustration [Allie]   Relaxation AND Frustration [Allie] EmptySun Jun 02, 2013 5:30 pm

Wake me up when Summer comes...

The woman pretended not to notice the harsh glare the man gave her, intent on using him to cure her boredom to some extent as she saw fit. He would cooperate whether it was just to get her to leave faster or because he shared her need of progressive action in this place of silence as final as true death itself. It had been like that ever since she first stepped through the large, dark doorway. Short of the automatic lights giving her a heart attack, nothing much exciting happened after she had finished exploring all the odds and ends of the place known as Los Noches. The most interesting discovery had been the control room by far, and she had amused herself in the first few weeks by playing with the new arrivals who came in either before or after her who didn't understand that walls, doors, and even entire rooms could be displaced using the strange buttons and levers. One of her favorite victims had been the previous number 7 before he was cut down by his replacement, some hyper active child. Sad thing, that. Absently, she traced a circle in the pale grey of the thin blanket they sat on with her curved index finger nail. It left a sharp indentation, just barely avoiding cutting through the cheap fabric. Where did the previous inhabitants of the castle get all of this hideous fabric from?

Finally, he opened his mouth and spoke the words she knew were coming. I guess I have no choice.... A thin smile caressed those dark lips of hers, and for the briefest moment she looked away from him to the opposite wall as he spoke. Eyes the color of fresh spring grass glanced over the desk, the half pushed out chair, and the impersonal air of the space. Was he not comfortable here? It was never going to be the clean, fresh air of the world they were born in to. The arrangement of colors and varying states of life that were once quizzical and loathed, now far beyond their grasps and longed for while they sat in this bleached out land of the would-be dead. The place where the living's evil went to be taught true wickedness the likes of which hell itself would be envious. If it even existed. She doubted it, and even though she heard Christianity had come out a major power religion in the present world, she was still the skeptic like so many others of the fanciful wish of true deserts and fulfilled desires of the saintly. No one could have known this was what really waited for them after they died.

By the time she turned back to look at him that killing glare had been replaced by a more thoughtful expression and he spoke again. What did she want to talk about? What would he say if she said she hadn't thought about that, yet? He sat up fully, and she understood why there was no canopy over the large bed like most of the others. It would have been a major nuisance to his height. While she understood the espada tended to run bigger and taller then normal humans these days, they previously were slender things like herself judging by the files she read. Regular human weight to height ratios with minor exceptions such as too tall, too heavy, until their powers were invoked to change that. Why had it changed so much? She was the shortest of the current batch, made to look like a child in the face of this slim giant. Some even considered him to be one of the shorter. They seemed to forget her height due to her overwhelming presence when she stepped in the room. It wasn't reiatsu, it was pure force of personality. Not violence, or anger, or any other petty minority. It was just her; She turned heads, stopped conversations, shifted the very air on a whim. These things all seemed to change with her moods, which made them a intentionally destructive thing with her symptoms similar to a disorder called Bipolar.

A subject came to mind suddenly, and it almost was enough to make her wince to realize. She was one of the few she had never asked about their past. Well, not so much their past, as the time in which they had lived. Another strange thing about the newer arrancars were their memories of their beforelives, but they fascinated her. She came from a time that was so underdeveloped compared to these tales of flying machines and metal chariots. Even things like traveling across the oceans to new continents were as crazy and far off as reaching the moon. She pulled herself a little further on the bed so that her feet dangled above the floor. Being the queen didn't come with all the hassles usual court dealings should have. There were no rival kingdoms, no political traps to lay, no heirs to make or name. She was allowed her undignified demeanor at times like this, even in the face of this near stranger. They were the closest she had to a family, and that wasn't limited just to the ones who enjoyed her presence. If there were any. Elodie suddenly let herself slip sideways so she lay like that on the bed, the edge of her body barely brushing against his as she pulled her legs up next. It was very near to a fetal position, but there was more of a tiredness then a submissive feel coming from her. "Do you remember?" The simple question held a weight as her eyes stared out and away from him, most of her face hidden except a profile view. The voice held a bit of a thicker accent, the exotic roots in her purring voice evident.

Just like her position, though, the words were tired. Worn. "I apologize for asking, but my time was long before the majority of you." A slight pause as she made a slight sighing noise. "I've been trapped in a world that never changes, while the wonders continued on the outside just out of sight." Her memories as a hollow were almost nonexistent, and something held her back after she had regained her consciousness that stuck her in this after life land. Being an adjuchas, and then a Vasto Lorde, had done nothing to change that fact. She couldn't leave, literally. It had been so long since she tried that she had forgotten why. Was it a fear of the changes she would come across? Would they be too much for her? Everyone else coped fine, why should it have mattered to her? She readjusted her legs, and for a brief moment her skin brushed his. He was cold. Colder then the room, maybe. Then again, so was she. The cold of a corpse, not the emanating cold of the man at her back and of the cooling system in the room. Just an absence of heat, influenced by the chill of the air that she barely noticed. She was sure that their bodies had completely different reasons for doing this, though.
